Last night for our combined YW's activity, we had a Fear Factor Father's Day Challenge :) Not all the girls could bring their dads along, so there were a few other boys & men from the ward that stepped in & it was such a fun night! I'm just glad I got to take the photos rather than do some of the things they had to do, but everyone was surprisingly good sports. I don't think there was anyone that didn't take part in a challenge apart from lucky Kjirsti who couldn't drink the Cheeseburger combo smoothie as she's vegetarian ;)
Unfortunately I didn't think to take a pic of the smoothie until it was all gone, but just let me tell you that it looked & smelt EXACTLY like spew (it was even a perfect dirty orangey colour from the fanta)....ew the other gross thing about it was that I blended it about 10 minutes before the teams had to drink it & by the time I went to pour it, it had gone semi hard. Way too solid to drink so I had to go back & add some water to it & blend it again before I could pour it into everyone's cups. :( So disgusting!
There were 5 challenges & 5 teams in all. Here are some of the pics...
Challenge 1 - Guessing Baby food flavours
Team 1
Team 2
Team 3
Team 4
Team 5
The bucket full of goo they had to stick their hands into - blindfolded. They had to try & pull out a plastic spider, two matchsticks, a lamb's kidney, 2 chicken feet & a wine gum (this was challenge 3)
Some of their goodies...yuck!!
Luke with his asian delicacy
Challenge 2 was looking at a card with heaps of pictures of different objects on it for 60 seconds together as a team & then about 10 minutes later (after they'd tasted all their baby food) trying to recite off as many objects as they could remember.
Challenge 4 was the Marshmallow game, Chubby Bubby lol.....seeing how many marshmallows they could fit into their mouths while still being able to say "Chubby Bubby" :) Not surprisingly, all the girls got out first seeing as their mouths are so much smaller than their dads haha
Challenge 5 was the Cheeseburger combo smoothie & then the girls finished off by performing a hula dance Ericca had taught them all the week before, for their Dads.
And then to finish off an already sweet night, everyone had bought a dessert to share. What a fun night!!
No comment except.....gross!!!!!! I feel pretty safe that that's a fathers day kind of activity, thankfully not mothers day!
