Auckland Anniversary was a massive weekend for us & we got to kick off all the festivities with a cool as trip up North to spend the day with one of our all time fave family's, the Halls :)
They were ever so kind to invite us up to their bach at Campbell's beach so on Friday morning we loaded up the truck & headed up to meet them at Sheep World!
Now I wasn't quite sure what to expect with Sheep World, or what there would be to do there, but it was really, really interesting!!!! I still can't say that I'd ever want to be a farmer, but it's pretty amazing the whole farmer, sheep dog thing & what the dogs are capable of doing once they're fully trained. I just left a little - actually alot depressed that I can't train my boys to be obedient in the same way lol. Man, if only!!!
Check out these little monkeys watching the show....
Now I've already said the show was interesting, but it got even better when this pretty lady got volunteered to get up & have a go lol. She was such a good sport too!
And then at the end all the kids got to feed milk to the lambs
Mac was getting pretty annoying by the time we left Sheep World, so it was a little bit funny when he locked himself in this little cubby house & then couldn't get out haha
The Heke's joined up with us as we were leaving Sheep World, so we headed back to the Halls place for some lunch before taking the kayaks down to the beach.
Spence was o.k in the kayak, but couldn't handle Stan taking him out for a swim
These guys getting a ride back to the house :)
After that it was over to a yummy organic berry yoghurt/icecream place not far away. They were soooo good!
Miss T pretending to be asleep ;)
On the way back I was trying to do a pic with Faith & she wasn't interested cause she was busy with the ipad, but I got this little photobomber instead :)
Didn't get any more photos after that but Matt & Nix joined us in the evening & we had the yummiest BBQ by Chef Keithy..... & while the kids played longer into the night, Joe & Keith had a good time taking the toilet off the wall & then putting it all back together again! It was such an awesome day! We all loved it - & the kids were out like a light as soon as we drove up the road. Thanks for having us Hall Whanau. We love you lots xx
So then, after our massive as Friday, we headed off to Kaden Matapo's party the very next morning....The boys had a blast running around playing with all their friends & we had fun just sitting down talking to ours.....
Spence confused why the car he was in wasn't working on the rollercoaster?
Spence, the little monkey climbing right from the bottom to the top :)
After Lollipops, we had a few hours break before we dropped the boys with Bubu to get ready for Will & Clare's engagement party!!
Me with Christy - one of the other 4 bridesmaids :)
Always so nice to have a break away from the rugrats!!
Of course on Sunday we had church & then Monday it was out to Long Bay for the Ward picnic organized by Stan & Kol. The guys went out at a crazy 4 in the morning to bags the site & then the rest of the families came out at lunchtime to have a barby & spend an afternoon of fun in the sun....

And yay, we had the Heke's come over & join us again :)
Both the boys, especially Mac, seem to have a little thing for Elise, so they both lay down next to her wanting her to scratch their backs lol....wonder which Aunty they got that annoying little trait from haha??!!
Can't wait for the next activity that Stan & Kol are organizing - the Valentine's dance next week. Woohoo!
How come Spence was wearing a bib on the tractor? Was he eating ;) lol. Cool weekend! Cutest photo bomber ever!
ReplyDeleteOh man, he's gonna be reppin' the bib for life!!!! :( He's dribbling as I type this....
