The Will of God

I came across this Mormon message a couple of months ago & loved it. Something about the little currant bush crying just really gets to me lol. I think it's the cutest little message & I've been trying to remember to share it on my blog ever since.

I'm so grateful for the Plan of Happiness & to know that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us even more than we can comprehend!! I know that He doesn't always give us exactly what we want or ask for, not because we don't deserve it, but because He thinks we deserve so much more.

Hope you all enjoy this message as much as I do xxx

Family photo shoot :)

So after a super exciting day yesterday (I'm still pinching myself to check that it's really real!!!) we headed out West to watch Pod & Ella's athletics.

They've been going to Glendene Athletics club for the last 3 weeks now & it was soooooooooooo much fun to see their little legs go!!!

Ella's age group was first up & she totally smoked them all (no surprises there!!) Each age group does 3 races total throughout the night & Ella the little dynamite left them all for dead 3 times over :)

Pod was super fast as well. She's always really quick off the starting block & then slows down a bit as she looks around to see where every one else is at lol. I think she got a 2nd & 2 x 3rds :) :) Aunty Nae was so proud of you my girlies xxx

In between the races, we discovered that the light bouncing off the wall we were sitting up against made everyone look pretty good so we decided to make the most of it with some family pics...

After the athletics & our photo shoot we headed back to Robertson Rd for some "Pooks" (Mell & Jo's local fish & chip shop on Pooks Rd lol) (I know we just had them on Saturday night too!!) & our postponed fireworks.

I had big plans to do a fireworks photo shoot as well & had tried to be all prepared by charging the battery before we left home, but then forgot to actually put it in the camera so unfortunately it wouldn't even switch on :(

Ella & Spence were fireworks poopers this year, so while Uncle Jo, Aunty B & Uncle Pete had fun on the driveway with Pod & Mac, Aunty Mell & I had to watch from the car with the two scaredy cats!! Hopefully next year they'll get into it a little bit more :)

Halloween Take 2!!

A couple of months ago we decided that we wanted to do a Halloween night for the  cuzzies with some of the games that we've been finding on Pinterest....so seeing as we also wanted to carry on our Guy Fawkes tradition from the last couple of years, we came up with a great plan to combine the two & do our Halloween games while we were waiting for it to get dark enough to do our fireworks - which was the perfect idea until it decided to rain & Aunty B got sick!! :(

Fortunately the rain passed so we were able to go ahead with our Halloween games, but Aunty B wasn't feeling any better in time for our fireworks, so they've been postponed until further notice.....

In the meantime, check out all the fun we had!!!

Crazy Hair cuzzies

My gorgeous Spider - don't you just wanna eat him all up!!!
And these guys too!!! The cutest trolls ever!!

Pretty happy with his score

One of our games - popping the balloons for a lolly

Why are you holding the dart that way Joe??? Seems like a strange way to throw it lol ;) And you seem awfully close :) Even the kids stand further back than that haha

Another game - taking turns at picking up a yoghurt container to try & get a treat (they either had a lolly or plastic spiders underneath!)

Yay, Pency found a lolly!!

Fish 'n' chip picnic in the lounge
Pency after Uncle Kris snuck him a choccy lol - it's kinda hard to sneak a baby a choccy without their mum finding out!!!

The girlies taking a peak & checking out what can they wanted to aim for....I'm thinking Ella may be short sighted lol - she's almost in the can!

Ghost bowling - you were meant to use a real pumpkin as the bowling ball, but we had to improvise :)

Hovering around the bowl of treaties

After we'd played all the games, the kiddies had to halve their loot & make a bag to take half of all their treats to the kids of a new family that's just moved into Mell & Joe's ward - Mac didn't have a jacket so he was chuffed to borrow one of Pod's

Beautiful Seffy baby was such a good little boy spending most of the night in the lounge by himself!! And I didn't even hear him complain once!! He takes the prize for most well behaved child of the evening once again :) We love you Seffy!
Cuddles with my trollies before heading home :)

Can't wait for our fireworks!!

Inflatable world

Yesterday we went & checked out Inflatable World which has just opened up at the indoor netball courts down on View Road.

Mac had been there on Saturday for Jamie, his good friend from creche's 5th birthday & had a blast, so I wanted to see if Spence would like it too.

On Saturday there were kids running around EVERYWHERE, but yesterday afternoon there was only a few of us Mums & 6 or so kids, so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves!!

It just so happened that one of the other Mum's was Meredith from church, so Mac & Manaaki quickly became buddies & had a great time bouncing around & going up & down the slides.

My favourite part was seeing Mac stuck to the velcro wall lol - he looked so cute just hanging there, not being able to move. Wish we had one of those at home!! :)

Spence switched being loving & hating it every 5 minutes lol - true to Spence form

All in all it was a great afternoon & we'll definitely be visiting again :)

Trunk & Treat

We've been looking forward to this year's Trunk & Treat for the longest time, so we were super excited when Wednesday finally arrived!

Mac's been begging for a wig for what seems like forever now so all we knew about his costume was that it HAD to have a wig :) And I have to say I think we found the perfect one!! He loved it for all of like 5 seconds & then started complaining that it was too itchy lol. I told him too bad cause he'd made me buy it so we needed to get our money's worth!!!

Not surprisingly though, he forgot all about the itchiness when we arrived & he saw lollies everywhere he turned :) It was such a great night! So well organized, awesome turn out & lollies galore. Mac keeps asking when the next halloween church is - so cute :D

My two little trick or treaters - Poor Spence wasn't feeling the greatest with a runny as nose :(

Mac's first stop - the Bickfords Army themed trunk

The friendly cops on patrol throughout the night :D Gotta love that mo -
& their gorgeous little pirate sidekick x
Zoram Spellman - The Incredible Hulk

Cameron Vos's trunk that the kids actually had to climb into (which I thought was such a cool idea!)
Mac was so keen to see what was inside that he sort've jumped the queue & was straight in there....

And then straight back out the same way again about 5 seconds later lol - he was totally freaked out about what was in there haha. It took me a few minutes to get it out of him, but he eventually told me that when he climbed in an arm came out to grab him lol

The gorgeous Cabaron family. Love these guys :)

There were soooooo many lollies!! This was just one car's worth. Mac couldn't believe his eyes :D

This trunk had those cool blood bag thingys hanging around the top

The Donson's trunk - winners of the best trunk of the night. They looked awesome! Wish I'd gotten Jo in the picture too
Fishing for eyeballs
The Walters prison trunk
Mugshots of the family lol
Convict baby Jane
The Angry Birds truck - what a cool idea! So much effort put into it
So cool to have the lovebirds with us xx

The prizes that they handed out at the end of the evening
What the rec hall looked like after the Mummy game
Partners in crime reunited :)
Uncle Pete's costume was one of the scariest of the night lol

Nacho Libre lol - this cool kid won the best boy costume, 0-5yrs :)
Spence upset he'd finished his lollies...
Aunty B to the rescue

Aunty B & Uncle Pete taking selfies - AGAIN!

Me & two of my most fave girls!

This one's for you Bex :) I told Rochelle to take a photo of the bbq & this is what she got lol. You already knew your hubby was HOT though aye!

There were even lollies left over so they did a lolly scramble at the end - it cracked me up that the kids were still desperado for more even with already full as buckets!!

What a totally awesome night! Can't wait for next year!!
