Perfect day for a pool party!! :)

Seems like we've been planning & looking forward to Petey Pete's 25th birthday for AGES now & today it finally arrived. YAY!!!

We've had a bit of rain the last couple of days, but today there wasn't a cloud in the sky - the perfect weather for a pool party :)

His beautiful wife has been preparing his surprise fishing party since just after Christmas & what an absolutely AWESOME job she did!! I'm totally hanging out to see what she's gonna do for my party in a couple of weeks time now lol ;)

What a super cool day!!!

Check out the pics.........prepping for the party......

Take home goldfish treats

"Pete's party" sign at the entrance to the pool

Surprised Pete (arriving home from the gym :)

The party boy!

I love Jo's pic :) He drew it freehand!

Pod drew her own fish too! Cool Pod :)

Doesn't it look pretty!!

Gorgeous boy xxx

Our special blue drink

Lemon boats for our fish

Fish 'n' chips!

They were sooooooo good!! The fish's batter was SUPER crispy

Spency fell in clothes & all just before this pic. Stan grabbed him out pretty quick, but not before Jo dived in to save him (clothes & all as well!!) Thanks Uncle Jo!!

"Oohhh I got one!!"

Bootylicious :)

Pass the parcel

Line-up for the Pinata

Nemo (great job Mell!)

The pinata turned into a lolly scramble to make it easier for the kids...

Petey Pete's turn to crack the empty fish.....

Broke the bat lol

Check out that cake!! (Did say "bucket" until the icing came off!)

Was so good - this photo doesn't do it justice!

He didn't think he could recreate the same face, but I think he nailed it!

Happy Birthday Petey Pete!! What a treat it was to have you here to celebrate with this year! We love you no number & look forward to many, many more birthdays to come xxx

On another note.....we headed off to the Families in the park down at Marlborough after the party & Mac fell off the flying fox & got bark in his eye. He said it feels like there's still bark in it so he was crying hard out & hasn't opened it since it happened at about 5pm this afternoon. I couldn't see any bark in there so we cleaned it & bandaged it so he could let is rest overnight & I'm really hoping that he can open it again the morning....poor little guy :(
