Uncle Heng's wedding

On Wednesday the 13th (almost 2 weeks ago now - man time flies!), Heng finally got married! Yay!!! Heng is Stan's bestie & he's been looking to settle down for a few years now so we were so happy when he met Sheryn last November & then got engaged to her on Valentines day a few months later.

Sheryn is from Malaysia & they met when she came over to NZ to attend a friend's wedding. The friend wanted someone to take her out to play golf at Gulf Harbour so asked Heng to do the honours & they hit it off right from the get go :)
LOVE this shot the professional photographers took

The weather on the day was absolutely perfect & we had such a cool time at the wedding & reception. Mac was the ring bearer so I was pretty on edge until the ceremony had finished, but he did a great job & looked super cute so all my worries were for nothing :) (thank goodness!)
Stan was also the best man & gave a cool speech... & Dad, Jose & Jeanne were there too so it was just a really fun night socializing with family & friends :) Gotta love a good wedding!

Check out the wedding motorcade - so perfect for Heng

Mac & the little flowergirl, Maya, starting to walk down the aisle xx

After the ceremony, trying to get a nice pic of the handsome little ringbearer :) (Best one I could get - guess he figured he'd stood still for long enough!)

Devouring his burger

Popping open his Johhny Walker Blue label....

The story behind this was that Stan had picked it for him when we came back through duty free from our Honeymoon to Fiji almost 9 years ago now. He had decided way back then that he wasn't gonna drink it till his wedding day - & that day FINALLY arrived!! Yay!!

Selfies with my handsome boy before bed :)

A cute moment between Mac & Maia at the wedding rehearsal the day before

And as if their NZ wedding wasn't flash enough, they flew home to Malaysia to have a wedding reception for 500 people just this past Sunday gone. I joked with Heng about how it seemed like the wedding that never ends, but I know he'll be so relieved now that it's all finally done. Now to enjoy the rest of their lives together!

All the best guys x

Beehives photography night

We had class activities this Tuesday just been & Georgia came up with the great idea of having a Beehives photography night....so we met at the chapel where all the girls brought their cameras & then we headed on down to Little Shoal Bay.

After we arrived we had about half an hour doing our own thing, before we finally started on some group pics. Was so cool to get so many nice shots of our rapidly shrinking group :) Here are just a few.....love these girls xxxx

Uncle Carl jets off to Sydney

So on Friday Carl finally left for Sydney - not finally as in yay, he's gone, but finally as in hurry up & go already cause thinking of being minus another sibling was making me sad all over again after just having sent B off again a few months ago :(

I'm really gonna miss my gym buddy!! Years ago pretty much the whole family went to the gym - Mum, Dad, B, Carl, Mell, Joe, Stan & Me....actually I'm not sure if Natalie may've even had a short stint there....but over time everyone's moved away or dropped off until it's just been me & Carl left :( :( (Well Stan too at 5:30 in the morning, but that just doesn't count!)......so yeah, this week being there without him has been really lonely!
Will always remember our good gym times though......

O.K, so back to Friday -

Here he was having probably his last pic outside Ensign Place

A nice pic with Dad.....

And then it was off to the airport!!!

This little monkey was lucky enough to tag along...

Spence wasn't impressed that "Uncle" was leaving so he decided to give him the cold shoulder lol

A hug for Dad....

And then he was off :) :)

When we dropped Dad home, Spence went into Uncle Carl's room & got a little bit taken with
this guy :)

He thought he'd better give him a nice big hug seeing as he was probably a lot upset that his owner of many, many years had just up & left him! Poor big ted :(

He's still in major denial, just sitting on the couch waiting for you Carl -
hoping you won't be too long!

Haha, seriously though, we hope Sydney is everything you hoped it would be, little (big) bro :) Can't wait till you've got a job & are all settled so we can take turns to come visit!! Love you lots & stay safe xxx
