Faithy turns 4

Four years ago today my first gorgeous little niece Faith Kathleen Heke was born.

After four dirty, smelly boys the whole family was over the moon to finally have a beautiful little baby girl & she has just gotten more & more beautiful ever since!!

Lucky she's got a big strong dad to guard the door when she becomes a
teenager :)

Pretty in pink

Look at those eyes - aren't they just scrummy!

Her t-shirt says it all
(Well actually it doesn't.
It needs a "Nae" at the end - then it would say it all :D)

The day Pod became a big sister!!!!

11 months

I wrote this post on Wednesday but am a little late putting it up as I realised that I didn't have any pics to go with it!! I obviously haven't been as snap happy with the camera this month - at least not of Spence anyways, so I finally got a few pics of my cheeky little monkey this morning before church :) .......

Spence is 11 months old today!! Only one more month to go before party time!!!

So I guess one of the biggest milestones this past month is that he no longer needs to be wrapped for sleep - FINALLY!! It took awhile but we got there in the end & he's making the most of this new found freedom by spinning & rolling & getting himself into some of the most uncomfortable looking positions....but oh well, as long as he sleeps we're both happy :)

He's still pulling himself up on everything & walking around the furniture. I'm getting pretty excited about those first steps that'll be coming in the next month or two!!! Gotta make sure I have the video camera ready for that one :)

Just in keeping with his grubby little habits, he's taken a shine to spitting this month so we're trying to knock that one on the head as it already looks like he'll still be wearing a bib at age 20 with all his dribbling anyways lol...

But other than being a typical mucky boy, he's still super adorable & so much fun! He's trying to add in his 2 cents more & more & gets really excited & talkative when we walk into the mall or somewhere with lots of people around.

Oh & he now alternates between his commando crawl & crawling up on his hands & feet (with his butt poking up in the air - so weird?!) I know he can do the normal crawl cause I've seen him do it, but I guess maybe he just likes to do things a bit different from the norm??!! Strange boy.....

We'll see you in a few weeks for party time!!!!

Grandie's 61st birthday

So last Tuesday our special Grandie turned 61 years old.
You'd never be able to tell though right???!!! He barely looks a day over 40!!

Haha.....seriously though, I didn't manage to get a picture of his legs - in particular his calves, but anyone who knows Kel, knows that his legs are tops! It's damn near impossible to have legs like Ronnie without any training, but somehow Kel pulls it off. How in the world do they manage to stay looking so good???

Anyways, happy birthday to the best Dad in the world!! You're all I could've wished for & more & I hope you know just how much you mean to me - & to all of our family.

We love you Dadda - forever & always x

The handsome, youthful looking birthday boy :)

All the grandees - minus Matt, Ethan & Ben

Seffy's Blessing

No-one in our family escapes a nickname - & it's usually a shame or strange one at that, so our newest little addition Seth is no exception :) And for now it looks like Seffy is it....it may not be the coolest name on the block but it's what all the kids are calling him so it looks like it will stick!

Last Sunday (the 5th) was the day his Daddy, along with Grandie & some of his uncles & Daddy's close friends, blessed him with his actual name at church.

Then after church we went home to the Heke household to celebrate the arrival of our gorgeous little son, nephew, grandson, cousin, brother & friend.

We feel so blessed to have you as the newest little member of our family Seffy!!! Can't believe it's been a month already!!! Too bad you were asleep for most of the celebrations :) Your mum made the yummiest party food as usual & your clever daddy did a great job of making a tarpaulin roof for the deck in preparation for the rain that fortunately never came. What a fun filled afternoon!

Mac & Petey Pete - it was Mac's 1st time wearing a sulu to church & describing it as a disaster would be an total understatement!!! Everyone around him got way more than a flash of what he'd had for breakfast lol - & he just thought it was hilarious....needless to say he won't be wearing it again until we get him some boxers & have a much needed family home evening on modesty :)

The only pic we have of Seffy from the day :( Shocking I know!! (Has to be noted that Aunty B was in charge of the camera this day lol)
