Clarey

Today I caught up with a super special friend of mine that I met probably almost exactly nine years ago now to the day (sometime in March 2003). Even though we're both from NZ we met in New Caledonia working as english assistants at one of the high schools there in Noumea (Lycee Laperouse).

That was one of the funnest years of my life and was such an awesome experience, mostly because I got to spend it with Clarey. We lived across the hall from each other in cute little studio units & hit it off like a house on fire. We went EVERYWHERE together & had such a cruisey little life going for ourselves. Ahhh, those were the days!!! Living in paradise with no one else to worry about but ourselves lol.....

Returning to Noumea after our week long trip to Ouvea - so excited to eat something other than vegemite sandwiches & granny smith apples!!


Anyways, it's so cool that nine years down the track we're still so close. Unfortunately we don't live across the hall from each other anymore, so we don't get to see each other quite as often as we used to.... but she's definitely one of those special friends that it doesn't matter how much time there's been between catch-ups, we still pick up exactly where we left off!!
