Our first thanksgiving!

So last Thursday we attended our very first thanksgiving!! One of the family's in the ward had done such an amazing job of organizing it all and we were just asked to each bring along a mains dish, so we rocked up at 6pm on Thursday night to this.....

Doesn't it look so pretty!!! We'd taken Dad along with us & we sat across from Nix & Matt....oh & the food was absolutely amazing! The mains were all to a really high standard & I was lucky enough to get one of the mini banoffie pies for dessert so it was a really yummy night :)

I'm so grateful for all the effort the Chadderton/Savaiinaea families put in, to help us all have a really special night!

We had a really close call in the carpark with Spence as the evening was ending though, so I'm super grateful that it didn't all end badly. It was such a blessing that Stan happened to see him just as he was about to ride out onto the road. Stan called out to him telling him to stop, but Spence just turned around, looked at him & then lifted up his feet & rolled out onto the road anyway (he was on his little black and yellow trike).....thank goodness Stan got to him and managed to grab him just before he got run over by a truck though!!! :(

I'm so, so grateful the timing all worked out, cause I just can't even fathom life without our precious little Spence. Stan was really shaken for the rest of the night & just kept on saying man you don't know just how close we came to losing him tonight!! Needless to say we vowed right then & there that we will definitely be keeping a much closer eye on our two little treasures from now on!!!
